What the job involves.
A replacement starts with getting the old roof off. We remove and dispose of the damaged roof first, keeping the yard and the surrounding area clear of debris while it comes down, because a tear-off is the messiest part of the job and the part a homeowner remembers.
What is under there decides the rest of the day. Decking that has been wet for a season is soft and holds no nail, so it comes off with the shingles and gets replaced before anything new goes down. On older Fort Worth homes the tear-off often finds a second layer nobody mentioned at the sale.
How It Works
Free inspection
Call and we set up a detailed inspection with a certified hail, wind and storm inspector. It costs nothing whether or not there is a claim in it.
File the claim
If we find damage, you sign our contract for us to work with your insurer, then you file. Send us the adjuster details and we set up the appointment.
Meet the adjuster on the roof
We are there to represent you. Afterwards the insurer sends you paperwork, and you forward it to us before signing so the scope can be checked.
Install and final inspection
Colors chosen, old roof off and disposed of, new system and ventilation on, the site swept, and a final inspection to close it out.
The Difference
Where these jobs go wrong.
The new roof system goes on with the ventilation it needs. Attic ventilation is the part of a roof that gets skipped most often and it is the part that decides how hot the attic runs through a Texas summer, which in turn decides how long the shingles above it last.
Most of the residential work we do is paid through a hail or wind claim rather than out of pocket. If that is your situation, the replacement and the claim run as one job and you do not have to coordinate between a roofer and an adjuster yourself.

Replacement, answered.
How long does a roof replacement take?
A typical single-family tear-off and re-roof is a one-day job once the material is on site. Steep pitches, multiple layers, large decking repairs or a cut-up roof with a lot of valleys and penetrations push it into a second day.
What does a new roof cost in Fort Worth?
The honest answer is that it depends on squares, pitch, layers and material, and any roofer who quotes you over the phone is guessing. The cost estimator on this site gives you a range in about thirty seconds, and the free inspection gives you the real number.
Do I have to be home while you work?
No. We need access to the driveway for material and the dumpster and clear access around the house. Most homeowners are at work for the tear-off and come home to a finished roof.
What happens if you find rotten decking?
It gets replaced. Decking is priced by the sheet and it is the one item that cannot be counted until the old roof is off, so it comes up as a line you see before the work goes ahead rather than as a surprise at the end.
Can you match the shingle on a partial replacement?
Sometimes. Shingle colors are discontinued and weathered shingle never matches new out of the bundle exactly. We will tell you at the inspection whether a match is realistic or whether a slope replacement is the better call.
What do you do with the nails?
They get picked up. A tear-off throws nails across a yard and a driveway, so a sweep is part of the job rather than a favour.
