What the job involves.
It matters that the company on your roof has done this before. We work with all insurance companies, and we will take you through the complexities of filing and understanding your claim. You have access to highly trained insurance people at every stage of the project, to answer questions, help with documentation, or provide whatever your insurance provider asks for.
The sequence is the same every time. First, a detailed professional roof inspection, set up with a certified hail, wind and storm inspector at no cost to you. If we find damage, you sign our contract for us to work with your insurance company, and then you contact your insurance company to file the claim.

Meet the adjuster on the roof
We are there to represent you. Afterwards the insurer sends you paperwork, and you forward it to us before signing so the scope can be checked.
Install and final inspection
Colors chosen, old roof off and disposed of, new system and ventilation on, the site swept, and a final inspection to close it out.
The Difference

The adjuster appointment is the hour that decides the job. Either call us with your adjuster information or call us directly so we can set the appointment up, because it is very important that we are there to represent you. Do not let the adjuster look at your roof alone, even if they tell you they do not need us or that they are bringing their own contractor.
After that appointment the adjuster sends you paperwork setting out the covered damages. Forward it to us before you sign anything, so we can check that the damage has been fairly evaluated and accurately reported. Then you choose shingle, gutter, siding and paint colors, the new roof goes on, and the job closes with a final inspection.

Do you handle the claim for me?
We work alongside it. Texas rules are clear that a roofer is not a public adjuster and cannot negotiate the claim on your behalf, so you file it and you stay the policyholder. What we do is inspect, document, meet the adjuster on the roof, and check the paperwork before you sign it.
What does the deductible cover?
Your deductible is your share and you pay it. Where damage is found it is the insurance company that pays the rest of the cost of replacing the roof or the other damaged parts of the house.
Can I use my own contractor?
Yes. An insurer can recommend a contractor and cannot require one. That applies even when the adjuster arrives with a company already in mind.
What if the first scope misses something?
It is common, and it is why the paperwork gets read rather than filed. Missed items are usually the things that are not the shingle itself: flashing, drip edge, vents, gutters, fence sections, interior water damage. A supplement is the normal route for adding them.
How long does the whole claim take?
From the inspection to the finished roof, weeks rather than days, and longer in the month after a large regional storm when every adjuster in North Texas is booked. Call and we will give you a real date rather than a flattering one.
